Jessica C. Barnes
Jessica joined the firm in February 2018. She manages the firm's telecommunications and internet operations, and is usually the first person clients meet when they come into our office. She keeps the office running smoothly with her fun personality and great organizational skills. Jessica works on Social Security litigation, West Virginia Workers' Compensation cases, and small business representation and litigation. She also takes care of many other miscellaneous office duties.
Elisa K. Partlow
Elisa Partlow has 34 years of experience working in several local law offices, as a Receptionist, Legal Secretary, and Paralegal. Elisa received her Certificate in Paralegal Studies through the University of Maryland in 1994. Elisa has been employed by this firm as a Paralegal since
August 2001.
Elisa primarily works on cases involving litigation, including personal injury automobile accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death, medical negligence, and business collection cases. Her job duties include the processing of case files from the day of the client's first appointment through the final resolution of the case by settlement or verdict. Elisa is also responsible for handling the firm's accounts payable and receivable, as well as maintaining and balancing several bank accounts via QuickBooks.
Cathy L. Clark
Cathy joined the firm in April 2018. She is a licensed real estate settlement officer and has 25 years of experience in the legal/real estate settlement business. She assists clients with the purchase and financing of new homes and the refinancing of existing homes. In addition to preparing deeds and the paperwork for a real estate closing, she also conducts the closing with the clients, explaining the bank's loan documents, etc.
Cathy is a member of the Maryland Land Title Association and Kirkwood & Rogers, P.A. is a member of the American Land Title Association. In order to maintain her license, and to stay up to date on new laws and regulations, Cathy attends annual seminars and completes the required Continuing Education classes each year.
